What will be covered:

Warm-up
Entrance, development of a fire dance, exit.
Arm movements and moderate floor work
Balancing technique and tips to avoid dropping and slipping.
Combinations for 4/4 and Chiftitelli rhythms, and Drum music (while balancing )
Fire alternative such battery operated gadgets, glow items, etc.SAFETY TIPS

Mondays 7:00PM, Reeves Community Center, Mt. Airy, NC (starts new session June 12)

Tuesdays, 5:30-7:30 Surry Community College (class full, but making waiting list for Sep)

Thursdays, Galax Recreation Center 7:00-8:00

(NO CLASSES DURING THE SECOND HALF OF JULY SINCE SAMRA WILL BE IN TURKEY)

August

Mondays (Either Mt. Airy or Galax) 4 week Performance Skills course to learn a new choreography and basic props like veil and cane and basics of finger cymbals.

Thursdays: Galax Rec Center, 7:00-8:00


SPECIAL SUMMER WORKSHOPS

June 28: Samra sponsors Paola Blanton in Galax teaching World Dance Aerobics 5:30-7:00 PM( Afro, Caribbean, Middle Eastern, Indi-Fusion,etc).. a one time workshop. $10 before June 24 -$12 at the door. Great workout and source of new ideas for exercise and fusion classes, and warm-ups.

June 30/July 1 Samra sponsors Paola Blanton teaching the A to Z Program. 3 workshops at Reeves Community Center in Mt. Airy, NC (limit 25, almost full)

RECITAL AT THE HOLLINGSWORTH STUDIO

SAMRA's students at the Hollingsworth Studio in Martinsville, VA will be performing at the Spring Recital and Martinsville High School, on Sunday, June 4, in the 2:30PM show.
Various styles of dances will be presented by various instructors and their students.

Samra will perform at the 6:00PM show.

Everyone is invited. Admission: $6.00 adults, $4.00 children.
